About Us

Phi Beta Pi (The Marquam Hill Cooperative) is a non-profit student cooperative located on the edge of the OHSU campus. We are self-run, self-governed and are entirely populated by students. Any graduate-level OHSU student pursuing a career as a health professional is welcome to apply to become a primary member. Visiting graduate-level students pursuing a career as a health professional from other institutions are welcome to apply to be a temporary members while rotating at OHSU. We also provide some temporary housing for medical students on away rotations and interviewing pre-health science students.

The Phi Beta Pi Co-Op–once a medical fraternity–operates as a non-profit organization that was founded by Dr. William John Brady.  The Co-Op is overseen by board of trustees that includes an elected student president and house manager. The house is primarily dedicated to providing affordable and comfortable housing for medical students, but welcomes all OHSU students including those staying just for the summer.

We accept applications for short term and long term stays on a rolling basis. We will evaluate long term applications once annually in early May prior to the start of each new academic year. Decisions will be announced at the end of May.
